About
Built for the gaps in the licensing system.
Canada’s graduated licensing system builds long, legally mandated waits into every learner’s journey. In Ontario a learner holds a G1 for twelve months before attempting a G2, or eight with a government approved driver education course, and holds the G2 for twelve more before attempting a full G. Alberta and British Columbia use Class 7 and Class 5; Quebec issues a permis d’apprenti conducteur. The waits differ in name, not in effect.
Clients go quiet during them. Most instructors lose a share of those clients, not because the instruction was poor, but because nobody was there to restart the conversation on the day the client became eligible again.
Why we built it
Most instructors run an entire practice over WhatsApp, a paper diary, a personal phone number and their own memory. That system works, and it is how a lot of good businesses got where they are. It has one blind spot: it cannot notice a year of silence.
Cronenta is the calendar, the booking page and the messaging in one place, with payment collection on the way, so the practice runs on something other than recall.
Where your data lives
Client information is stored in Canada, in AWS’s Canada region, because it is Canadian personal information and it should not have to leave. The services we use to send messages and sync calendars are named in the privacy policy, along with what each one receives and why.
Where we are today
Cronenta is not open to customers yet. We are building it with a small group of Ontario instructors, and their practices are shaping what gets built next. If you teach in Ontario and want a say in that, write to us.
